Tinsanity - Metal embossing for cards, journals and more
Michele Parlee
6 Hours
Workshop Description
In this class you will learn how to make greeting cards embellished with aluminum tooling foil. You will make between 4 and 8 cards depending on your speed. You will learn basic metal embossing techniques, including "puffing" which gives the aluminum a 3-dimensional effect, how to antique the metal using India ink, how to assemble the card, and how to embellish the cards in your own personal style. Although we will be making cards, once you know the basic techniques necessary to emboss the metal, you will be able to make them in any shape that you desire: hearts, flowers, etc. You can also use these techniques to embellish frames, journals, books, greeting cards, ATC's and more.
