B-I-N-G-O! Framed Recycled Bingo Chip Earrings

Workshop Description
Recycled bingo chips take center stage in these industrial-chic earrings. You'll saw metal frames that will showcase fragments of translucent bingo chips while learning basic metalsmithing skills including sawing, filing, piercing, and riveting. The skills you learn can be used at home to create frame charms that can house a variety of materials including photos, papers, etc.
Supply list for students
- Jewelers saw
- 1 dozen saw blades size 3/0
- Bench Pin V-Slot w/Clamp (for example, see here: http://www.jewelrysupply.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1942)
- 2 pairs of chain nose pliers
- Flat file
- Mini anvil or steel block
- Riveting hammer or small ball pein hammer
- Wire cutters (flush cut is preferable but not required)
- Center punch
- Safety glasses

Instructor will supply:
- Drill Bits
- Wet/Dry sandpaper
- Shared use of 2 flex shaft drills
- Ring clamps for in-class use
- Blackening agents
- Printed paper templates
- Sheet metal
- Assorted small beads and metal heishi
- Steel wire
- Consumables
Optional:
- A flex-shaft, Dremel or other rotary tool if you have one. Or a hand drill.
- Inexpensive needle file set
- #57 drill bits
- Graph paper, glue stick and ruler if you wish to draw your own frame templates - Pre-printed templates will be available for your use.
- Small beads in colors you like
- Small metal heishi
